Customizing Courses

Exporting a Course

Courses in the LMS can be exported in a few different file formats.

Full, static package

This is a SCORM-compliant package that allows you to export a course to be used in a different LMS system.

Connector

This allows you to export a file to be used in a different LMS system but allows you to edit the course using znanja’s editing tools while still using a different LMS to manage students.

Connector files can be exported as either Multi-SCO or Single-SCO. Some LMS systems require one format or the other. Be sure to verify which type of connector is needed for an LMS system.

How to Export a SCORM Package

If you already have an LMS and you want to keep using it, you can export your content from our eLearning environment. This will create a SCORM-compliant package that has no dependency on our system.

1.

To begin, click the Courses button on the sidebar and click My Courses.

2.

Click the drop-down arrow to the right-hand side of the course you want to work with and click Export full, static package.

3.

Your browser will download a ZIP file containing the package.

How to Export a Connector Package

You can also export the file and use our editing tools to customize your course while using your LMS to manage students. This is all done using znanja’s Connector technology, where most changes to the course will not require you to reimport the course into your LMS. If you spot a typo or want to update content in your course, simply edit the course in our editor. You will immediately see your changes in your LMS.

1.

To begin, click the Courses button on the sidebar and click My Courses.

2.

Click the dropdown arrow to the right-hand side of the course you want to work with. Clicking Export connector will export a multi-SCO connector package.

3.

Clicking Export Single-SCO connector will export a single-SCO connector package.

Note: Make sure you know whether your LMS uses single- or multi-SCO packages.

4.

When you make a selection, your browser will download a ZIP file containing the connector package.
